Today, Google Search Ads UI are facing two main challenges: Ads format internally inconsistent between each verticals (shopping ads, travel ads, local service ads etc.). Secondly, if we are looking at the whole search page UI, Ads format is not aligned with the rest of organic content either.
User’s will have a more seamless experience browsing and interacting between ads content & organic content on search result page and this potentially help increase users’ trust and engagement as well as whole page metrics.
So what I am trying to accomplish via this Ads format framework guidelines are:
(1) Decide a design strategy to emphasize on optimizing whole page UI consistency and maximizing performance for an ad specific use case.
(2) Get a launch approval (or learning experiment approval) of carousel treatment to unblock our carousel eng component launch process.
