Google Play Games is a new multi-platform gaming app used for gamers to play Android games on their PC. This new strategic product aims at flourishing Play revenue and largely increase users engagement with games. In Year 22 & Year 23, our business goal is to expand markets and increase onboarded install via more user acquisition.
Play Games team has experimented multiple approaches to reach users and promote Google Play Games. However, due to crossing-chasm problem (users see new product info on mobile but need to install on PC) and the lack of ways to target users (e.g we want the users who have PCs), user drop rate along the funnel is quite high although with a foundation of hundreds millions MAU on Play Store.
Under this situation, I am switching the gears onto the Web, which has been long-time neglected among Google Play assets. Through previous experiments and validations, I am exploring possibilities via Web and establish a strategy for our continuous user growth.
