Today we see a -56.6% drop rate from users clicked on promo ads (~107k) to visit marketing site on desktop(~46.4k) and to Download Google Play Games client (~32.6k). This becomes our 2nd largest drop rate for user acquisition.
Our assumptions are drop rate may be caused by:
Mobile to desktop process lacks efficiency
Users forget to check emails (triggered after clicking on ads from mobile) due to long time span
Asian country users are not very engaged with emails (from research insights)
Users don’t have proper devices
Users lost motivation to continue downloading Google Play Games
The first three issues are addressable by finding an easier way to fill the gap when users moving from mobile to PC. This is where send link to PC feature coming from.
